Trails Info
1. First 13km
The first 13km of the Bay of Fires trail is has become hands down the best single track in Australia and one of the best in the world, that is how good this trail is. Its full of super fun flowy world class single track cut into pristine wilderness.
Length – 13 km
Grade – Blue (Intermediate)
Ride Time – 45 Min to 1 Hr
Elevation – 80% Down 20% Up
Start – Blue Tier trail head (1 hour drive from Derby)
Finish – 13 km marker on Terry Hills road.
Itinerary
09:00 am – Shuttle departs from Derby
10:00 am – Shuttle arrives at the top of the Blue Tier (toilet)
10:10 am –Ride first 13km of the Bay of Fires trail
11.10 am – Get picked up at the 13 km marker and taken back up to the Blue Tier
11.40 am – Shuttle arrives at the top of the Blue Tier (toilet)
1.30 pm* – Arrive at the Weldborough Pub and enjoy a quick lunch break at the pub.
02:00 pm – Shuttle departs the Pub for Derby via the Atlas trail head.
02:45 pm – Shuttle arrives back to Derby
What to Pack
You will be riding on adventure trails that are remote and isolated so you need to be prepared.

2. Blue Tier
The Blue Tier trail is a stunning 24 km mountain bike adventure trail. The first part of the trail crosses the summit alpine plains which is sure to warm you up before flowing down through spectacular Myrtle Beech forests, idyllic mossy streams, giant tree ferns, ending with the 6 km epic, “hang on” Big Chook descent of super flow berms through more spectacular forest finishing at the Weldborough Pub for a well earnt drink and feed.

Grade – Blue (Intermediate)
Ride Time – 1.5 to 3 Hrs
Elevation – 65% Down 35% Up
Start – Blue Tier trail head (1 hour drive from Derby)
Finish – Weldborough Pub
Please Note
- Shuttle departs at 09:00 am from the shuttle bus car park at the main trail head at Derby.
- Practice good trail etiquette, Leave no trace and ride to your ability.
- Basic trail grades: Green (easy), Blue (intermediate) and Black (hard).
- We need a min of 3 passengers booked in total (not per booking) to run this service. If min numbers are not met we will contact you via email and text 48 hours before the departure time.
